We are currently looking for a focused Tax & Compliance Assistant to join an established and growing company based in Northamptonshire. This is a permanent position, working 9am-5.30pm Monday - Friday and offering a competitive salary.

The role:
- Efficiently assist with the preparation of companies filing
- Accurately prepare self-assessment returns
- Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients
- Effectively deal with tax queries and handle any tax issues
- Filing companies house accounts
- Efficiently carry out company secretarial duties
- Develop strong working relationships with clients
- Support the payroll function when required
- Ensure day-to-day activities are completed on time and to a high standard
You:
- An Accounting & Finance degree would be advantageous
- Previous experience handling of tax procedures
- Good knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to communicate with people of all levels
- Works well under pressure whilst managing conflicting priorities
- Highly organised with good planning skills
