We are currently seeking several Quantity Surveyor to join our Highways Maintenance clients. The role will be based in Surrey with a salary up to £55,000 plus vehicle.
Responsibilities for Quantity Surveyor
- To assist in the delivery and governance of commercial services to Contracts.
- Ensure excellence and best practice in the support of the commercial elements of the Contract.
- Processing of cost and value in Causeway.
- Managing early warnings and variations
- Provide advice on contractual matters
- Carry out duties in line with all Company Procedures and Policies
- Ensure all work is carried out to correct specification / standard
- Use Action Reporting Procedure to plan and implement continuous improvements
- To work in-line with the European Foundation of Quality Management (EFQM) Model
- Actively foster a positive staff morale
- Willingly carry out any reasonable task as requested by a member of the management team.
- Cost and value to be at agreed levels in line with budget
- Deliver reports by deadlines.
- Maintain and make new relationships with clients.
Requirements for Quantity Surveyor
- Quantity Surveying qualification or working towards - experience and time served will be considered.
- Understanding of cost management systems.
- An understanding of Term Maintenance Contracts.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of commercial management of works.
- Understanding of commercial terms
- BoQ knowledge and understanding.
- An understanding of the principles of measurement within the Highways Maintenance environment
- Flexible in approach to traveling between depots
