JOB TITLE - Learning Support Assistant

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Prospero Teaching is looking for a Learning Support Assistant for an Ofsted rated 'Good' Specialist Secondary School in Bury.

The school is a specialist provision supporting pupils who have struggled to engage with a mainstream education and require tailored support with their social, emotional and mental health challenges. The school provides a bespoke curriculum, which includes therapeutic activities, with the aim of ensuring pupils are able to better regulate their own behaviours and operate independently, making healthy life choices.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • LSA experience working with SEN children
  • Minimum 1 year experience in the UK working with children with additional needs
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last 2 years
