Team Structure
The team is currently seeking an ambitious Junior/Mid/Senior Associate with robust experience in competition and group actions (either claimant or defendant side). This role requires someone who excels in leading cases and driving business development initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in areas including:

Cartel and abuse of dominance claims (Chapter I and Chapter II).
Providing pre-action advice and guidance on potential competition claims.
Ideally, a breadth of commercial litigation experience.
Preferably, experience with the opt-out regime in the Competition Appeal Tribunal.
An interest in competition, consumer protection, securities, and broader ESG-focused actions is essential. Consumer protection and ESG claims are anticipated growth areas within competition, and the team is seeking an ambitious associate to help expand these practices.

Main Responsibilities
Preparing and drafting clear, concise correspondence, advice notes, applications, and witness statements.
Conducting legal research using both internal and external resources.
Ideally, experience handling funded claims, whether on the claimant or defendant side.
Assisting in the preparation of legal articles.
Engaging with clients under partner supervision.
Developing an informal internal and external network of contacts.
Building strong relationships with clients and peers across the firm.
Participating in business development and profile-raising events, such as client seminars and graduate recruitment activities.
Most roles are hybrid, allowing team members to work both in the office and remotely. Flexible working arrangements are open for discussion during the application and interview process.

Attributes/Skills Required
The team is seeking a proactive Associate with extensive UK experience in contentious competition and group actions, who is adept at case leadership and business development.
Key experience should include:
Competition litigation, particularly abuse of dominance and cartel claims.
Group actions, including ideally experience with opt-out cases.
High Court commercial litigation, if possible.
Pre-action analysis and client support.
ADR, including mediation.
