SJC Partners are pleased to be hiring for a Procurement Manager on behalf of our exclusive client based in Preston.
The purpose of the role will be to:
- Ensure that raw materials and componentry are purchased to meet the requirements of production plans
- Ensuring the best value is delivered by suppliers at all times.
- Assist in the management and the development of the supply base to meet strategic requirements of the business.
- Develop robust supplier relationships and manage the supplier performance process.
- Drive quality improvement and cost reduction initiatives across the range of packaging and raw materials in conjunction with the senior team.
- Develop and motivate a team of 3 individuals and drive performance.
As the ideal candidate for the role you will likely be/have:
- Experienced with 4+ years within a procurement role
- Proven with a history of effective supply chain management
- Knowledgeable within purchasing and supply chain systems
- A degree or CIPS Level 4 qualification
