Our client is a global engineering, repair and logistics company to the communications industry. They are rapidly growing and require additional resources within the UK to manage current and upcoming IT projects across their most proficient division.
Your new role
Key Responsibilities:
- IT project management of complex international software projects
- Support of the entire project life cycle from cost estimation to operation
- Development and creation of the project scope and detailed project plan whilst ensuring feasibility together with technical experts and business departments
- Planning, monitoring and reporting of the entire project lifecycle (resources, budget, scope, schedules and milestones)
- Manage all project stakeholders including internal and external customers, suppliers and developers
- Perform risk management, evaluate and initiate measures to minimise risks.
- Ensure that all team members have a clear understanding of the project's status, work cohesively towards the same objectives, and collectively drive the project to success
- Creation, maintenance and monitoring of comprehensive project documentation
- Organisation, implementation and moderation of kick-off sessions, meetings and workshops
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree or Diploma in a Computer related subject or relevant experience (beneficial)
- Degree or diploma in Project management or relevant experience (beneficial)
- Previous experience of management of technical interdisciplinary teams (essential)
- Practical knowledge of managing budgets (essential)
- Certifications and/or experience in Scrum (Scrum Master, Product Owner), IPMA, PMI, Prince2, Design Thinking or similar (beneficial)
- Professional experience in planning, implementation, and management of complex software/web projects (essential)
- Technical background with hands-on experience in web technologies (essential)
- Familiarity with integrating web applications with SAP (beneficial)
- Experience in project management according to hybrid approaches (combination of classic and agile methods) (essential)
- Conceptual and analytical thinking skills, assertiveness, and very good understanding of processes. (essential)
- Strong communication skills, problem-solving and presentation skills (essential)
- High sense of quality and responsibility as well as independent thinking and acting (essential)
- Ability to communicate written and verbally confidently project details (essential)
