NLB Solutions are working with an organisation that are looking for a qualified accountant to join a finance team working alongside the Head of Finance as a Finance Manager.
The role is to work remotely but needs to be available for onsite meetings when required. The role is an all-round finance one that has duties to include management accounts production, statutory accounts as well as monthly reporting and managing a small transactional team.
The organisation has a team that is supportive and offers mentoring that will help develop the right person into a long-term asset and a valued team member. The Head of Finance will be looking to this individual for support for audits and the budgeting process when they have settled into the role.
Duties:
- Prepare monthly management accounts.
- Prepare month/year end accounting journals.
- Resolve general finance queries for the business.
- Debt management.
- Managing two staff members.
- Preparation of statutory accounts.
- Lead for external audit.
- Management of the Purchase and Sales Ledgers
- Coordinate monthly reconciliations and Balance sheet reviews and corrections where necessary.
- Prepare and present the monthly financial controls.
- Review and approve payments.
Person Spec:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- 3 years experience in a similar role
- Happy to work remotely with occasional travel to other site
