Our client is an acclaimed, UK Headquartered, multi-site Group with strong investor backing and an exciting value creation agenda ahead. As part of their talent and succession planning a Head of Corporate Finance is sought to work closely with the Group CFO, Group Controller and senior leadership team. The role will be pivotal to commercial decision making and the growth strategy with a high profile across the Group. This role is a great career development opportunity in a very positive and supportive environment and would suit an ambitious finance professional who is looking to progress to a number one role.

The role:

  • Own and develop the Group's value creation plan (equity case, long term plans and investor reporting)
  • Leadership of exit process when applicable
  • Insight and analysis together with analysis of Group with an external lens
  • Presentation of the Group to the outside world
  • Investment, start-up and financial management of acquisitions, or start-ups - adding additional brands to the group
  • Bank/Lender syndicate management
  • Shareholder/Investor management
  • Lead the consolidation and presentation of annual budget and forecasting processes
  • Management of all advisers
  • Cash, liquidity and covenant planning
  • Investor reporting, including but not limited to monthly reporting
  • Business Improvement projects
  • Interaction with FP&A and Financial Reporting teams
  • Deputise for the CFO as necessary

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant with strong technical accounting and taxation skills
  • Background in Corporate, transaction support or PE financing
  • Experience of presenting a business to external stakeholders/parties (e.g., fund raising, M&A, diligence feedback or sales process)
  • Experience of covenant management and cash flow projections
  • Contract management and negotiation skills
  • Influence and relationship management
  • Intellectual curiosity and robust analytical skills
  • Customer focussed (internal and external)
  • Strong presentational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Ability to lead complex business critical services effectively
  • Ability to inspire, mentor, develop and drive a team and individuals to perform consistently at a high level
  • Self-starter happy to work on own initiative and drive the agenda
