Finance Assistant

- Salary: £26,000 - £28,000
We are seeking a diligent Finance Assistant to join our finance team. You will be responsible for managing sales and purchase ledgers, credit control, bank reconciliations, and providing support for month-end processes. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Day to Day of the role:
- Raising sales invoices and processing Proof Of Deliveries.
- Managing credit control by sending out reminders and maintaining contact with customers to identify issues early.
- Handling bank postings and reconciliations, as well as controlling petty cash for all sites.
- Processing purchase invoices, ensuring they are authorised and matched to purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Assisting with the closing of sales and purchase ledgers at month-end, including reconciliations and processing late after date accruals.
- Providing sales invoice analysis and debtors analysis for monthly accounts and Board pack.
- Maintaining Parent company accounts, including inputting invoices, posting transactions, and bank reconciliations.
- Supporting the Financial Controller and Assistant Management Accountant, providing cover and undertaking projects as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with sales ledger, credit control, and purchase ledger processes.
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as Sage.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Willingness to undertake training and personal development activities.
