Job Title: Prep Room Operative
Location: Downham Market
Working Hours: Monday-Friday, starting at 7:00 AM until work is complete for the day (between 2pm-5pm)
Hourly Rate: £11.44 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Lifting and Moving: You will be responsible for lifting and moving vegetable sacks (potatoes, carrots, onions etc). This may involve heavy lifting, so physical strength and stamina are essential.
- Conveyor Belt Preparation: You will be assisting in the preparation of the conveyor belt for processing.
- General Housekeeping: Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in the prep room, including disposing of waste properly.
- Adherence to Safety Guidelines: Following safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries during work.
Requirements:
- Physical Fitness: The role involves manual labor, so the operative must be physically fit and capable of lifting heavy items.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in stock management and conveyor belt preparation is crucial.
- Reliability: Punctuality and consistent attendance are essential for this position.
- Team Player: The operative will work as part of a team, so good communication and cooperation skills are important.
