We are looking for an experience Delivery Manager who is comfortable working in a high pressure environment especially within the UK's public sector. The project is based around the AWS environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of complex government projects and programs
- Develop and maintain delivery plans, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
- Manage project resources, budgets, and timelines effectively
- Identify and mitigate risks, resolving issues that may impact project delivery
- Lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
- Implement and refine Agile and other delivery methodologies as appropriate for each project
- Facilitate effective communication between team members, stakeholders, and senior government officials
- Manage vendor relationships and third-party contracts
- Report on project progress, performance metrics, and outcomes to senior leadership and ministers
- Ensure compliance with government standards, security protocols, and best practices
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Delivery Manager in government or public sector projects
- SC Clearance (Security Check) is mandatory
- Experience managing high-sensitivity projects within government
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience dealing with ministers and high-level government officials
- Relevant project or program management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, MSP, PMP, or Agile certifications)
- In-depth knowledge of various project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
