Interim Financial Accountant | Global TV and Film Broadcasting Business
The Client
Our client is a world-leading TV and Film broadcasting business with a global presence, managing several subsidiaries with a focus on factual and documentary programming. The business has a strong streaming and online presence and continues to grow despite ongoing challenges in the wider TV and Film industry, with a keen, adaptive eye on the market and delivering what consumers are looking for in their entertainment. With a global presence and regional revenue of £100mil, our client has made a name for themselves as a resilient and exciting broadcasting business ahead of the game.
The Role
Working closely with the Head of Finance & VP Finance, this Financial Accountant position will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of monthly management results, as well as preparing and processing the month end journals and reports. This role will also partner with the owners of the overhead functions, providing key financial insights.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation of monthly management results.
- Ownership of trial balance.
- Preparing and processing month end journals.
- Variance analysis with analysis for the budget holders.
- Weekly cashflow.
- Monthly and quarterly ONS returns.
- VAT returns.
- Support thew Head of Finance with the audit.
- Support on consolidated financial statements.
- Support the FP&A function on budgeting, forecasting, and 5 year plan.
- Ad-hoc work for the Head of Finance.
Essential experience
- Part Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA, or QBE.
- Competent user of ERP systems and able to adapt quickly to new systems.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Experience working in a multicurrency reporting environment.
- Proven experience supporting in the management of external audit
- Excellent understanding and application of month end close and reporting
Bonus Experience
- Previous experience using SAP.
Salary: £40k - £45k pro rata.
