ADHD Senior Prescribing Lead

Here at Online Doctor, Boots UK, we are recruiting a ADHD Senior Prescribing Lead to join our dynamic team. In your role, you will lead the development and delivery of the non-medical led remote ADHD prescribing clinic, provided by Boots Online Doctor.

This role is full time and includes weekend working, please note we are open to discussing part-time and job share options during the application process.

About the role

This is an exciting role as you'll help build a new service working closely with the Medical Director and Mental Health Leads. You'll also work closely with the assessment and diagnostic team.

As a Lead, you'll need to:

  • Develop the policies, procedures and risk log for the service (working with the Mental Health Leads)
  • Develop and provide regular reporting and audit for the ADHD service.
  • Work with the incident team to review incidents, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Be part of iterations and development of at-scale solutions for this new service.
  • Provide teaching, support and advice to less experienced prescribers.
  • Develop a competency framework for less experiences prescribers (working with our Head of Non-Medical Prescribers)
  • Managing patients (including prescribing where appropriate)
  • Teaching staff
  • Running an MDT and providing guidance on complex cases to other prescribers
  • Working on governance systems
  • Responding to queries from GPs

What you'll need to have

We're looking for a highly experienced prescriber and practitioner of ADHD services for adults, this includes the treatment and pharmacological management of ADHD and associated mental health conditions.

  • Be open and interested in different ways of delivering healthcare
  • Have strong leadership skills and experience.
  • Work as an independent and autonomous professional
  • Work within a mostly remote framework
  • Offer advice and guidance to other prescribers
