Horizon Teachers are working with Secondary School in Atherstone who are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor on a long-term contract. Working alongside teaching staff to support teaching and behaviour where needed, you will become an integral part of the school staffing structure.

The role of the cover supervisor is a varied role where no two days are the same, a rewarding role where you will be working alongside students and staff alike to improve teaching and learning outcomes for young people.

The daily duties

  • To cover short term absence
  • Supervising work set, using the necessary resources that have been provided
  • Managing the behaviour of pupils in line with school's behaviour policy
  • Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies in line with the school policy and procedures
  • Leaving feedback for the class teacher
