We are family owned and managed residential care home provider with 7 homes across the North West and Midlands.

We are recruiting for a Registered Care Home Manager for a 26 bedroom property in Barrow-in-Furness.

Abbotsfield Care Home is a residential home set in its own grounds, surrounded by beautiful gardens and has a very homely feel.

As a Care Home Manager with a salary of £40,000 and an Occupancy Bonus of up to £4000 per year you will have responsibility for leading the home and an existing team of committed long serving and enthusiastic employees to deliver outstanding levels of care to all of our residents.

As a Registered Care Home Manager you will:

  • Be responsible for managing the business and ensuring our home operates effectively and delivers the very best quality care
  • Act as an ambassador to represent the heart and face of the home to key decision-makers building a sound reputation within the local community and ensuring yours is the local "home of choice" and working towards excellence
  • Maintain excellent relationships with the Registration Authority complying with legal and statutory requirements and representing the Home as the Registered Manager
  • Review skills and knowledge of staff team members and ensure our high quality of care continues through training, supervisions and appraisals.
  • Be involved in care planning for our residents.
  • Maintain our open and honest culture in which all staff team have the opportunity to thrive
  • Maximise financial performance of the home
  • Purchase stock and budgetary control of all consumable items, required for the day-to-day operation of services.

To succeed you will be:

  • Experienced in working in the healthcare sector. You may already be a Registered Manager with a Level 5 qualification (or RMA) or you might be a motivated Deputy Manager who is ready for the next step in their career. We can provide financial support for those who need to complete their Level 5.
