An exciting opportunity for an Environmental Manager to join a leading FMCG company. The ideal candidate will utilise their engineering and manufacturing expertise to champion environmental management within the company.

Client Details

This is a large and well-established FMCG company. With a global presence, the company prides itself on its commitment to innovation, quality, and sustainability. The company operates in Middleton and several other locations globally.

Description

  • Lead the development and implementation of environmental policies and practices.
  • Maintain and update the ISO14001 EMS & site Environmental Permit
  • Conduct regular environmental audits and inspections.
  • Develop communication lines with external agencies
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental legislation and industry regulations.
  • Work closely with internal teams to promote environmental awareness and sustainability practices.
  • Manage waste reduction programs and initiatives.
  • Prepare and present environmental reports to senior management.
  • Coordinate environmental training programs for staff.
  • Oversee the company's carbon footprint and energy usage.

Profile

A successful Environmental Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the FMCG industry.
  • Knowledge of environmental legislation and industry regulations.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
