SEMH Teaching Assistant

Join our dedicated Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) school, committed to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs. We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic SEMH Teaching Assistant to empower every student to achieve their full potential.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored educational activities.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
- Support students with personal care needs, if required.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable.
- A patient, empathetic, and positive attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent) are preferred.
