We are now looking for two Biocides Regulatory Operations Advisers to join the Chemicals Regulation Division (CRD) on a full-time, permanent basis. Part-time working hours are available for this role. We can accept part-time applicants who can commit to working a minimum of 22.5 hours per week.

You will play a pivotal role in helping CRD build is capacity and capability in our role as a globally respected Competent Authority.

The Role

As a Biocides Regulatory Operations Adviser, you will oversee the implementation of biocides regulations by providing expert advice in alignment with legislation.

Supporting colleagues in making decisions and establishing positions, you will ensure decisions are consistent and delivered to the required standards by providing accurate advice on the implementation of regulations.

You will develop a thorough understanding of our policies, regulatory framework, technical, and legislative issues to advise on interpretative challenges within the legislation, seeking appropriate solutions and escalating issues.

Ensuring consistent delivery of the CRD's objectives, you will develop, review, and amend processes required by the legislation with the aim of driving efficiency.

Additionally, you will:

- Draft legal documents and formal stakeholder communications
- Proactively identify and escalate potential issues affecting the practical operation of the biocides regulatory schemes and help develop handling strategies
- Respond to industry, government and stakeholder enquiries

About You

To be considered as a Biocides Regulatory Operations Adviser, you will need:

- Experience in building and maintaining long-lasting, positive internal and external working relationships
- The ability to understand, evaluate and apply new and complex information in unfamiliar situations
- The ability to present technical information in a clear, concise and timely way
- Good organisational skills
- Effective communication skills
- Sound analytical skills
