Position Details:

Role: Paediatric Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP)

Band: 8a (or Band 7 for trainee post)

Training: Trainee post available, commencing as a Band 7 while completing training and education. Once qualified, the Paediatric ACP will be promoted to a Band 8a position.

Responsibilities:

Assessing and managing unwell and deteriorating patients in areas of highest clinical acuity.

Working with a high level of personal and professional autonomy.

Using specialist knowledge and skills to deliver independent assessment, clinical examination, diagnosis, clinical decision-making, planning of care and treatment, health promotion, and safe admission and discharge of patients.

Scope of Practice:

The walk-in centres serve both Paediatric and Adult patients.

Occasional cross-cover working.

Ensuring practitioners work within their scope of practice.

Offering training and support to empower Paediatric trained practitioners to work in an area serving both children and adults.
