Interim Technical Accounting Specialist (project) - up to £75,000 - Wokingham (3 days p/w week in the office) - initial 6 month contract
IN2 Consult is partnering with an internationally recognised client on the recruitment of a Interim Technical Accounting Specialist (project).
To give an insight into the role - the role has come about due to an ERP transformation and has a large focus on the transition of global entities from local GAAP to IFRS standards.
The key responsibilities of this Interim Technical Accounting Specialist role includes:
- Share key insights and recommendations to help shape interim and end-state designs
- Viewing the information in the current source ledgers (global)
- Support the business set-up and reconciliation of the parallel local GAAP ledger
- Reconciliation between local GAAP and IFRS.
- Partnering with external auditors (Big 4)
- Partner with different teams to understand and learn from current processes and support them as solutions are implemented.
- Provide timely and insightful updates on project progress, including potential issues and risk areas.
The desired candidate for this interim Technical Accounting role should have the following experience:
- Ex-Audit ACA/ICAEW/CA Qualified
- US GAAP/Local GAAP Experience
- IFRS Experience
- Experience of working in a multi-ERP / system environment
- Post-Audit industry experience 1-3 years post-practice - ideally.
- Exposure to statutory reporting and accounting in a previous or current role
- Strong understanding of standard methodologies in Accounting and Financial Systems, including SAP.
