Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Private Client Solicitor to join our client's team in Harlow. The successful candidate will handle a diverse caseload of private client matters, providing expert legal advice and support to our clients. This role is ideal for a solicitor with a strong background in private client work and a passion for delivering high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a varied caseload of private client matters including wills, probate, estate planning, and trusts.
  • Draft and advise on wills, lasting powers of attorney, and other testamentary documents.
  • Administer estates, including dealing with both taxable and non-taxable estates.
  • Handle the creation and administration of trusts, including advising trustees on their duties.
  • Provide advice on inheritance tax planning and mitigation strategies.
  • Assist clients with the preparation of deeds of variation.
  • Conduct client meetings to take instructions and provide advice.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in legislation and best practices in private client law.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a seamless service to clients.
  • Participate in business development and marketing activities to promote the firm's private client services.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years PQE in private client law.
  • Strong technical knowledge of wills, probate, estate administration, and trusts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients.
  • Proven track record of managing a busy caseload and meeting deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • A proactive approach to business development and networking.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
