An established education facility has a new opening for an Administrator. TheAdministrator role involves taking administrative responsibility for students with SEN needs regarding exam access requirements, liaising with the SENCO on a regular basis and collaborating with the Exams Team to ensure a shared understanding of exam access procedures within the school.

  • Salary: Up to £20 P/H
  • 35 hours
  • Office based - term time only

Administrator responsibilities:

  • Consulting with the SENCO to provide specialist advice to staff and support on students specific needs including a wide range of learning disabilities and educational needs
  • Accurately keeping records and evaluating identified students progress
  • Monitoring and tracking SEN data
  • Working as part of the team in relation to individual students, liaising, advising, and consulting where appropriate
  • Responding to parental and student enquiries about the school's SEN provision for students, passing on such enquiries to other school officers as appropriate
  • Providing one to one support with SEN students
  • Liaising with feeder schools to obtain school records
  • Working closely with the Exams Officers to ensure students are supported during their exams with the correct access arrangements
  • Ensuring students know when their tests will take place and where they need to go
  • Supporting exams during exam and mock season
  • Communicating individual student exam access requirements to their teachers
  • Writing safety plans for students at risk in conjunction with each Head of Year
  • Assisting in managing student crises as they arise
  • Mentoring students around academic and emotional needs as appropriate
  • Assisting in the organisation and execution of post 16 events such as open and parents evenings
  • Supporting on results day
  • Supporting the enrolment process as required

Administrator skills/competencies:

  • Previous experience in a similar role desirable
  • Strong IT proficiency including Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
