Stafflex is looking for caring and enthusiastic Nursery Nurses to join our team and support early years settings across Huddersfield. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a key role in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, helping them to develop their social, emotional, and educational skills through play and structured activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and supervision to children aged 0-5 years.
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Support children's personal, social, and emotional development, encouraging positive behaviour and interaction.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment by adhering to health and safety policies and safeguarding procedures.
- Work closely with parents, carers, and colleagues to support children's individual needs and maintain effective communication.
Requirements:
- A recognised qualification in Childcare/Early Years (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent)
- Experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting
- A warm, patient, and caring nature with a genuine passion for working with children.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience working with children or young people, preferably in a school setting
- Maths and English qualification of Level 2 or above
- An enhanced DBS check registered with the DBS Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
