Semi-Senior Accountant

We are seeking a dedicated Semi-Senior Accountant to join a reputable Chartered Accountancy firm. The ideal candidate will have completed their AAT exams and be eager to start or continue their ACCA qualification. With a requirement of at least 2 years of experience within a Practice environment, this role is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to advance their career in accountancy.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and tax returns for a diverse client portfolio.
- Working closely with senior accountants to conduct audits and manage client accounts.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Supporting clients with bookkeeping, VAT returns, and other accounting queries.
- Utilising accounting software to maintain accurate financial records.
- Continuously developing your technical accounting skills and knowledge.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Completion of AAT exams is essential.
- Ambition to start or continue ACCA qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience within an accountancy practice.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and legislation.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
