Sellick Partnership are currently partnered with Synchronicity Care Ltd to assist with the recruitment of their Associate Director of Procurement on a permanent basis.

Synchronicity Care Limited (SCL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust (CDDFT), and offers its own Terms and Conditions., CDD Services / SCL is a wholly owned subsidiary of County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust (CDDFT) set up to deliver a range of non-clinical services The company is a separate legal body to CDDFT.

The Associate Director of Procurement is a pivotal role for the business and wider NHS Trust, leading the operational procurement, purchasing, inventory and materials teams and be responsible for the direction of the department to all member organisations.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Procurement leader to join the team, and play a key part supporting the procurement function in meeting the Trust's Procurement objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership of the procurement function to County Durham and Darlington Foundation Trust and external customers.
  • Management of a 51 strong procurement team.
  • Development of strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and supplier partnerships.
  • Responsible for operational efficiencies and delivery.
  • Creation and delivery of effective procurement strategy, policies and procedures.
  • Providing expert and accurate advice on UK Procurement Regulations and ensuring all activities are in line with legislation.

What we are looking:

  • Experience as a procurement leader, with management of a large procurement team within a private or public sector organisation.
  • Proven delivery of year-on-year strategic objectives and targets.
  • Knowledge of Public Contract Regulations 2015, the Procurement Act 2023 and the Provider Selection Regime, including their application within a Public Sector environment.
  • Considerable experience of managing large and complex procurement programmes.
  • Experience developing commercial contracts to benefit the organisation.
  • MCIPS qualified or working towards as a minimum.
