  • Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Assist with social skills development and building student confidence through structured activities and one-to-one support.
  • Support students during break times and other school activities to ensure their well-being.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and other staff members.
  • Encourage students to participate fully in lessons and help them develop a love for learning.
  • Provide emotional support for students, building strong and trusting relationships.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs, ideally in a school or educational setting.
  • Team Teach qualification (preferred, but training can be provided for the right candidate).
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and experience working with children who have challenging behaviours.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed when managing difficult situations or emotional outbursts.
  • A compassionate, empathetic, and patient approach to working with vulnerable students.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, teachers, and other staff.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusion and well-being for all students.
  • A strong desire to help students reach their full potential, both academically and emotionally.
  • DBS check (preferred, or willingness to undergo one if necessary).

Benefits:

  • Competitive pay of £90 - £110 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • A supportive and collaborative team dedicated to student success and well-being.
  • Training and development opportunities, including support for gaining further qualifications and professional growth.
  • Opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with SEMH, working in a rewarding and impactful role.
  • Access to staff well-being programs and mental health support, ensuring a healthy work-life balance.
