SF Recruitment are recruiting for a Process Engineer to work for our established manufacturing business based in Swadlincote who supply mainly in to the aerospace industry.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare and issue process specifications for production and across all processes
Maintain and update process specifications in line with Engineering Change Request systems, processes, and associated production data.
Investigate manufacturing related issues, route cause analysis and problem solving.
Support to the CNC cutting processes used in operations
Support quality improvement / scrap reduction initiatives and support the quality and production teams in this respect.
Lead and support operational improvement projects, including lean initiatives, process and process flow improvements
Contribute to, and support, facilities / capital investment / equipment project work as and when required
Contribute towards the development of the Process Engineering team and the team objectives
Ensure compliance and adherence to all system requirements including AS9001, Health & Safety, Risk Assessments, Environmental, ISO:14001 and housekeeping.
Liaise and manage relationships with other departments to achieve good communication, rapport, maximum efficiency, and support.
Maintain an appropriate awareness of alternative and new production processes. Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Knowledge / Experience
Strong production/manufacturing background with current experience in lean operational improvements
Lean Six Sigma training and implementation experience
Experience of MRP type manufacturing control systems and associated control of data fields.
Clear understanding of Bill of Material and Bill of Labour
Knowledge of documentation control procedures
Understanding of the principles of CNC machinery and operation
Good MS Office software skills, Excel / Word / PowerPoint etc.
Ability to communicate and work effectively at all levels within the business
Understanding of modern techniques/systems in manufacturing improvement.
Familiar with quality standards and procedures
