Role Overview:

The Practice Manager will be responsible for the efficient management of the firm's operations, staff, and resources. This role involves strategic planning, staff supervision, financial management, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accountancy practice management, exceptional organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Management:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the accountancy practice, ensuring smooth workflow and efficiency.

  • Develop, implement, and refine operational policies and procedures.

  • Manage office logistics, including supplies, equipment, and maintenance.

  1. Staff Management:
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide professional development opportunities.

  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

  1. Client Relations:
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through excellent service delivery.

  • Address client inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly.

  • Manage client onboarding processes and maintain client records.

  1. Financial Management:
  • Assist with the preparation and management of budgets and financial reports.

  • Monitor financial performance, including billing, collections, and expenses.

  • Implement strategies to improve financial efficiency and profitability.

  1. Compliance and Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure the firm complies with all relevant regulations and industry standards.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and industry best practices.

  • Oversee internal audits and implement quality improvement measures.

  1. Technology and Systems Management:
  • Manage the firm's IT infrastructure and practice management software.

  • Ensure data security and confidentiality.

  • Strategic Planning and Development:

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: AAT or higher Qualified
  • Experience: Proven experience in a management role within an accountancy or professional services firm.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Knowledge of accountancy regulations and standards.
  • IT Skills: Proficiency in practice management software, accounting software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
