Tempest Education are working with a primary school in the South Ockendon area who are looking for a qualified primary teacher who can engage, motivate, and inspire students.

This primary school in South Ockendon received an outstanding report from Ofsted last year. They want their children to feel valued and confident as individuals and ensure they feel supported, safe and cared for in school. You will need to be dynamic, have high expectations and be of a happy disposition. Your track record must be strong with good pupil progress rates. You will be encouraged and warmly welcomed by the staff and be part of a highly motivated team.

The primary teacher role is a permanent position for a teacher looking for a fixed working week, 5 days a week, full time.

Early start available for ECTs.

If you believe you are the ideal primary teacher you will have:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or recognised teaching qualification.
  • A valid DBS and successful vetting/safeguarding checks.
  • UK classroom experience with a calm, kind, and nurturing approach.
  • Previous experience in a primary school with full time or supply experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading KS1 and KS2 classroom lessons.
  • Following and implementing the school policies, rules, and procedures.
  • Being dynamic, innovative and committed as a classroom teacher and help pupils reach their highest potential.
  • Supporting the assessment and tracking of student progress, providing feedback to the head of department.
