Adele Carr recruitment is working with a well established agricultural company who are looking for a Purchase Ledger clerk to join their team in Shrewsbury

The Role

  • Process supplier invoices and credit notes.
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements.
  • Supplier payments
  • Maintain supplier records on the ERP system ensuring compliance checks are carried out as required.
  • Scan, attach to records and file all documents in an accurate and timely manner to enable fast and easy retrieval.
  • During colleagues' absences monitor all work and prioritise urgent tasks, bringing to management's attention where documents are not being processed.
  • Assist with queries from suppliers and colleagues.
  • Undertake any additional task required by the business within the capability of the individual.

Purchase Ledger Clerk - Skills:

  • Experience of working in a finance department as a purchase ledger clerk - essential
  • Organised administration - essential.
  • Good telephone manor - essential.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Business Central - desirable.
  • Good level of experience using Microsoft office products especially Microsoft Excel - desirable.
  • An understanding of agriculture sector desirable.
