Academics Hampshire are currently seeking motivated, passionate people who are keen on working in local Secondary schools to cover lessons in the case of a teachers absence.
As a Cover Supervisor will be responsible for delivering lessons to students with varying levels of ability across both Key Stage 3 and 4.
We work with a large number of Secondary Schools across Hampshire who will ensure you feel comfortable delivering lessons to their students. You'll be required to cover across subjects and have excellent communication skills to build relationships with both students and staff quickly and effectively. You should have a commitment to nurturing a positive environment for learning!
The main responsibilities as a cover supervisor:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure a positive learning experience.
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages mental well being and academic progression.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and techniques to address any behaviour in the classroom.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Working in a UK school as a Cover Supervisor you must be based in Hampshire, hold a UK recognised degree and have a current and updated DBS that's on the update system or be willing to pay and apply for one.
