Robert Half Talent Solution are partnering with a manufacturing company based in Abergavenny to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to work within the Finance Department. The successful candidate will report directly to the financial controller and predominantly manage the purchase ledger process and assist some General Ledger processing.

Job Description: As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the finance department with a variety of accounting tasks. This position is ideal for someone who is organised, proactive, and eager to develop their accounting skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include all aspects of Purchase Ledger, including:

  • Invoice processing. 3 way matching invoices and manual entry invoices.
  • Query handling, debit note processing & liaising with suppliers.
  • Processing payments and posting AP transactions on the bank.
  • Statement Reconciliations.
  • Inter-company reconciliations.
  • Intra stat and VAT return.
  • Month End Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
  • Prepayment Journals.
  • Month End AP Accrual Journals.
  • GRNI House Keeping.
  • Assistance with Site Stock Takes.
  • Assist with Internal and External Audit requirements.
  • Basic General Ledger Enquiries.
  • Ad hoc sub ledger support.
