My client is an incredibly successful IT managed services provider based in central Croydon. They have been established for more than 20 years and integrity and customer service are at the heart of the services they provide to their loyal client base.
They are looking for a talented IT Support Technician to join their growing team. You will perform a varied role, giving you exposure to the latest technologies and opportunity to progress into a project based or network design role. The office has a relaxed working atmosphere, but their core values including honesty and integrity are what make them so successful.
IT Support Technician Duties:
- Provide technical support and advice relevant to clients' infrastructure
- Explore new technologies for innovative solutions
- Consistently progress yourself and embrace learning opportunities
- Manage client requests for support & project work
- Identify potential new business from new and existing clients
The initial role will be focusing on overseeing and triaging incoming client requests. The successful applicant will need to develop, over time, skills ranging from network design through to desktop and server support. You will eventually be involved in all aspects of IT systems implementation & support including project proposals and costing, product procurement, installation & implementation, configuration, maintenance, support and on-going client management.

We are looking for a passionate candidate with the enthusiasm and drive to succeed as well as good training or experience in IT and a good knowledge of the following technologies (Windows Server, Exchange Server, Office 365, Microsoft Windows Workstation, networking troubleshooting -TCP/IP, routing, subnets, Domain Name Management, DNS, web hosting, MX records, routers, hubs and switches, network security, VPN's, Endpoint security and anti-virus solutions and Firewall / UTM devices. Any knowledge or experience of Apple Mac systems, Linux, Telecoms and Microsoft Azure is a bonus.
