Key Account Manager

POST Recruitment is delighted to be working with a leading player in the media industry to find an experienced and driven Key Account Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage a high-performing territory within the fastest-growing division of a well-established market leader.

The Key Account Manager will receive a basic salary between £45,000 - £50,000 depending on experience with a fully expensed company car. The on target earnings are uncapped of £15,000 per annum, paid monthly, with the first four months guaranteed bonus.

We are recruiting across the UK in the following regions:

  • Greater Manchester
  • Derbyshire
  • Stockport
  • Chester
  • Liverpool
  • Taunton and surrounding areas
  • Midlands (including Derby, Leicester, Coventry, Stoke, and Nottingham)
  • South West England

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular account reviews to showcase value and ROI, ensuring long-term client satisfaction.
  • Keep customers updated on new products, services, and pricing structures to maintain engagement.
  • Achieve sales targets and KPIs through consultative selling: identifying client needs, providing data-driven insights, recommending tailored solutions, and closing deals.
  • Provide product support and deliver training to help clients get the most from our offerings.
  • Collaborate closely with customers to identify opportunities for upselling and increasing product adoption.
  • Stay informed about market trends to better guide customers through emerging challenges and opportunities.
  • Maintain and update your CRM system, ensuring accurate records of all customer interactions.
  • Work in partnership with your Area Sales Manager, internal account teams, and head office support to maximise sales efforts.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a field-based Key Account Manager role.
  • A proven track record of selling services (rather than products), with expertise in managing complex data.
  • Experience planning and managing a sales territory, with a history of overcoming price objections in a no-discount environment.
  • Solid B2B sales experience is a must.
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies such as Challenger, SPIN, or SNAP is highly advantageous.
