Senior Buyer required for an established organisation, paying an annual salary of £45,000. Working hours are Monday - Friday, 7.30am - 4.30pm.
If a candidate is available immediately, the role may start on a temp too perm basis.
Candidates applying must have previous experience in the manufacturing industry.
Duties:
Procurement planning:
- Forecast levels of demands, price trends
- Conduct research to source the best products and suppliers for best value delivery and quality
- Purchasing materials
- Inventory management
Procurement management:
- Assist in managing procurement operations
- Negotiate and agree contracts, monitor quality
- Maintain suppler relationships
- Attend overseas supplier meetings and trade conferences

Experience required:
- Previous buying experience
- Senior buying experience is desirable
- _CIPS_qualified or working toward
- Ability to organise a busy and varied workload, remain calm under pressure, and proactive in approach to tasks
- PC literate with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook skills
