Purpose of the Role

As a Buyer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and sustainable supply chain management, cost control, and high customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for providing materials in the right quantity, at the right time and quality, delivering exceptional service to both internal and external customers. Your efforts will help us meet our financial obligations, improve our operations, and position us as a best-in-class provider of KBB furniture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic supply partners to secure the best trading conditions, aligning with profitability and sustainability targets.
  • Supplier Performance Monitoring: Review and improve supplier performance quarterly to meet our OTIF and OTIF-Q targets.
  • Demand Forecasting: Gather demand insights monthly to create a reliable supply forecast for our strategic supply partners.
  • Purchase Order Management: Release and maintain purchase orders daily, ensuring stock is managed within given parameters.
  • Data Reporting: Provide data to group sourcing monthly to monitor pricing trends and develop synergies and trading conditions across all business units.
  • Product Management: Participate actively in the PIPO process to keep our product offerings current and on-trend without compromising service and financial performance.
  • Operational Improvement: Collaborate cross-functionally to challenge and improve business operations.
  • System Maintenance: Maintain ERP and group sourcing systems accurately for reliable information reporting.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in supply chain management, procurement, or a related field.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and forecasting abilities.
  • Proficiency in ERP and supply chain management systems.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Commitment to sustainability and continuous improvement.
  • CIPS Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience.
