My client in Plymouth is seeking a Terminal Operator to join their fuel storage facility in Plymouth. This role is integral to the safe receipt and distribution of refined petroleum products. The facility operates 24/7, and the successful candidate will be part of a team that ensures the efficient operation of the terminal.
Day to Day of the role:
- Oversee the safe discharge of petroleum ships and the loading of petroleum road tankers.
- Permit and supervise site maintenance activities.
- Account for the inward and outward movements of petroleum products using modern SCADA and I.T. systems.
- Carry out regular site inspections, process monitoring, and performance observations to ensure a safe environment.
- Work closely with various stakeholders including ships personnel, truck drivers, maintenance contractors, and back office support.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Relevant industrial experience or similar transferable skills.

Computer literacy with I.T. experience.

Positive attitude towards safety and flexibility to work as part of the operations team.

Good communication skills and the ability to work with different stakeholders.

Qualifications in any of the following areas would be advantageous:

Trade qualification.

Health and Safety qualification.

Vessel or truck loading/offloading experience.

Experience in bulk petroleum storage.
