The Role
We are looking for a Business Development Manager with several years new business and freight sales experience to join and be part of the growth of a friendly sales team. The ideal candidate will be self-driven and have a demonstrated history of achieving new business targets utilising company generated leads and their own. They will be reliable and hardworking with a clear focus on implementing new business opportunities whilst maximising revenues and have superb communication skills at all levels and a strong ability to impact and influence.
The Person
- 5+ years New Business experience within the freight forwarding industry
- Solution-based selling: We are seeking someone who takes a consultative approach to sales, understanding our clients' needs and providing tailored solutions
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse market trends and identify business opportunities
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Lead Generation: Proven experience in generating leads and expanding client base
- Market Research: Strong research skills to gather and analyse industry data
- Customer Service: Able to provide outstanding customer service and build long-term relationships
- Strong negotiation and persuasive skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proven b2b track record
The Package
Our client offers an excellent package detailed below:
- Salary - £50,000 - £65,000 DOE
- Commission - x2 base salary
- Car/Car Allowance
- Company benefits package
