Day to Day of the Role:

  • Delivering compelling Humanities lessons across disciplines such as History, Geography, and Social Studies, in line with the UK curriculum.
  • Planning, preparing, and assessing lesson plans, including the integration of current events to enhance learning.
  • Evaluating student progress, providing feedback, and setting goals to foster academic and personal growth.
  • Creating an inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and respectful debate.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop cross-curricular links and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
  • Participating in extracurricular activities and school events related to Humanities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Experience in teaching Humanities subjects to GCSE or A-Level students.
  • Commitment to working a minimum of three days per week.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage classroom dynamics and facilitate a stimulating educational experience.
  • A history of positive observation ratings, with ‘Good' or ‘Outstanding' outcomes.
  • Preparedness to undergo necessary compliance checks, including Enhanced DBS and employment references.
