Summary of role

Manage an effective, high performing team, who deliver the highest standard of teaching & learning across a variety of apprenticeships and commercial training programmes, allowing our learners to excel

You will be responsible for managing all of our Specialist Trainers and the associated training resources, ensuring efficient delivery and utilisation of our trainers and facilities. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and effective operation of our training programmes, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Brief summary of principle accountabilities

  • Training Programme Management: Oversee the end-to-end management of training programmes, including planning, scheduling, and logistics coordination.
  • Resource Management: Manage training resources, including training materials, equipment, facilities, and technology platforms, ensuring their availability and readiness for high- impact training sessions.
  • Curriculum Development: Collaborate with subject matter experts and instructional designers to develop and update training curriculum and materials based on industry trends and customer requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality assurance processes, alongside quality colleagues to ensure the consistency, accuracy, and effectiveness of training content, materials, and delivery methods.
  • Trainer Coordination: Collaborate with trainers (permanent and associates) to ensure they have the necessary resources and support to deliver high-quality training sessions.
  • Training Delivery Support: Provide support to trainers during training sessions, including troubleshooting technical issues, coordinating with IT support, and addressing learner enquiries and/or feedback.
  • Training Evaluation: Develop and administer training evaluation mechanisms to gather feedback from participants, trainers, and stakeholders to continuously improve the training programmes and materials.
  • Training Records Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records, including attendance, evaluations, and certification data.
  • Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring the availability and quality of outsourced training resources when needed.

Qualifications

  • Grade A-C GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent

Skills and experience

  • Proven track record of relevant experience in training programme management, resource coordination, or a related role within the training or education industry.
  • Proven experience in supporting curriculum development, instructional design, and training material creation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, fostering positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple training projects concurrently, meeting deadlines and budgetary requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with trainers, subject matter experts, and stakeholders effectively.
  • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in training materials, records, and logistics.
  • Familiarity with the education and training sector, including understanding of educational policies, programmes, and performance evaluation frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across different educational sectors and/or programmes, to implement and adapt performance evaluation strategies accordingly.
