Sales Executive

Our client is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Part Time Sales Executive with a proven track record in growing small businesses. The ideal candidate will help increase sales, focusing on the B2B market. Experience in the retail sector would be an advantage.

Working hours would be from 9:30 - 15:00, 5 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and cement relationships with existing trade customers; calling, visiting and meeting where relevant
  • Identify untapped sales opportunities within existing trade customer base, developing strategies to leverage opportunities and increase sales income
  • Be the first point of contact for new trade and corporate gifting sales approaches
  • Proactively identify new trade sales and corporate gifting opportunities, developing strategies to convert into income
  • See each sales opportunity through to completion, with the help of the Sales Admin Lead
  • Hold regular weekly meetings with the Sales & Ops Exec to discuss sales progress, opportunities and approaches
  • Support the Sales & Ops Exec in the generation and analysis of sales reports
  • Be able to use sales systems in order to manage the admin associated with sales
  • Manage the delivery of company (corporate) gifting opportunities from beginning to end, with guidance from Sales & Op Exec, and support from the fulfilment team
  • Help to prepare for and sell at Trade Shows/other events (usually 2 to 3 a year, often including a weekend day)
  • Help to manage the storage, organisation and transport of products and display furniture used at trade shows. Some physical lifting and driving will be required in these instances.
  • Work closely with the Stock Controller, sharing information about stock levels and projected sales quantities
  • Take part in scheduled Stock Take
  • Be prepared to help with tasks in other areas of the organisation during busy periods and holiday covers, particularly with B2C sales inc. customer service, online sales order processes, packing and despatch

Experience and Skills Requirements:

  • Proven Track Record in Sales (2+ years)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Naturally organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent numerical, written and verbal communication skills
  • Full driving license and willingness to drive (inc. hire vehicles)
  • Experience of Stock, Supplier and Distribution processes/systems
  • Working knowledge of Sage 50 Professional Software
  • Working knowledge of Shopify ecommerce platforms
