Technical Coordinator

Reed Food & FMCG have been briefed to recruit for a top employer, based in Bedford to join the business on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be a champion of technical and quality across the business.

Technical Co-ordinator

£27,000 to £34,000 per annum depending on experience

Full time on site

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and develop the quality system.
  • Work with senior manages in driving the business to maintain our BRCGS +AA accreditation.
  • Ensure that all organisations own brand suppliers meet all the necessary audit requirements to enable supply to our customer base.
  • Ensure that all technical/quality specifications are kept up to date and adhered to.
  • Monitoring ongoing quality of businesses own brands.
  • Ensure that Health and Safety systems are audited and checked with senior managers on a regular basis.
  • Ensure that all labelling of products is in line with the latest guidelines
  • Final approval/sign off on packaging/labelling for any businesses own brand products.
  • Ensure all technical paperwork/systems are put in place for product launches.
  • Work with senior managers to ensure critical path for launches are put in place and managed accordingly to deliver launches on time.
  • Propose new products in line with company strategy and current market trends.

Person Specification:

  • Relevant qualification within Food Manufacturing
  • Proven experience in Quality or Technical role.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations (HACCP, BRC) is highly desirable.
