Are you a self-motivated, hardworking, ambitious person looking for a new challenge? AJ Chambers are supporting a top 30 firm of National Accountants in their need for a payroll administrator.

The payroll administrator is a key member of their small payroll team and reports directly up to the payroll manager. The purpose of the role is to process client payrolls using Staffology software. You will work to tight deadlines and be able to effectively communicate to clients.

What does the job entail?

You have heard about some of the benefits of joining this firm, life will be fast paced, engaging and you'll learn every day. So let's tell you a bit about what you'll be up to on a daily basis:

  • You will process client payrolls.
  • You will Ensure correct Tax/NI rates and relevant certificates are in place for each employee, including certificates of age exception (CF4140 or CF384), certificates of election (CA4139 or CF383) and NI deferment certificates (CA2700).
  • You will complete and submit all PAYE & NIC documentation.
  • You will calculate employee and employer pension contributions. Maintain detailed records and deal with any administration required by the pension provider.
  • You will deal with client queries.
  • You will deal with all HM Revenue & Customs enquiries.
  • You will keep up to date with legislation changes.
