Financial Planning Assistant- Berkhamsted- £28K

Job Overview: Provide comprehensive financial planning support to advisers, para planners, and the practice to ensure clients receive high-quality financial advice. Manage and process all aspects of pre-sale and post-sale administration efficiently. Opportunities for career progression to Para planner or Senior Administrator roles.
Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Add client information to the intelligent office database.
  • Create and update Wealth Reports.
  • Prepare and gather information, such as LOAs and Policy Information Checklists.
  • Conduct meeting preparation and present findings to advisers for client meetings.
  • Write basic reports, including Fund Switches, Reviews, and New Money.
  • Conduct basic research using FE, Defaqto, Cashcalc, etc.
  • Submit applications to providers, both online and manually.
  • Ensure cases are processed quickly and efficiently.
  • Prepare and maintain client files to meet compliance standards.
  • Assist specialist para planners with investment strategy administration as needed.

Qualifications:
Essential:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a financial planning adviser's environment.
  • GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C or above).
  • Understanding of the financial planning process.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Strong analytically skills and ability to interpret data.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own workload.

Desired:

  • Aspiration to progress to a Para planner or Senior Administrator role.
  • Working towards industry-recognised exams, Level 4 (CII or LIBF).
