Financial Planning Assistant- Berkhamsted- £28K
Job Overview: Provide comprehensive financial planning support to advisers, para planners, and the practice to ensure clients receive high-quality financial advice. Manage and process all aspects of pre-sale and post-sale administration efficiently. Opportunities for career progression to Para planner or Senior Administrator roles.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Add client information to the intelligent office database.
- Create and update Wealth Reports.
- Prepare and gather information, such as LOAs and Policy Information Checklists.
- Conduct meeting preparation and present findings to advisers for client meetings.
- Write basic reports, including Fund Switches, Reviews, and New Money.
- Conduct basic research using FE, Defaqto, Cashcalc, etc.
- Submit applications to providers, both online and manually.
- Ensure cases are processed quickly and efficiently.
- Prepare and maintain client files to meet compliance standards.
- Assist specialist para planners with investment strategy administration as needed.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- 1-2 years of experience in a financial planning adviser's environment.
- GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C or above).
- Understanding of the financial planning process.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Strong analytically skills and ability to interpret data.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
Desired:
- Aspiration to progress to a Para planner or Senior Administrator role.
- Working towards industry-recognised exams, Level 4 (CII or LIBF).
