Tax Manager (Part-Time - 3-4 days) | Luxury brand | London | £65,000-£80,000 plus benefits | Permanent role

We are working with a leading luxury brand, based in Central London (hybrid working, 3 days per week), which is looking to hire a Tax Manager on a permanent basis. The business is open to hiring on a full-time or part-time basis, 3-4 days per week. This is an exciting time to be joining a business that has experienced growth over the past 3 years and is now looking to expand further internationally as well as looking to drive its online presence.

Reporting to the Head of Financial Control, you will be responsible for managing the direct taxes for the UK, Irish, and US entities. You will be advising the business on the implications of new tax initiatives as well as managing specific tax projects. The role also oversees one direct report managing indirect taxes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ownership of statutory taxes, filings, and compliance for both the UK, Irish, and US entities
  • Liaising with stakeholders internally and externally for tax-related queries and changes in tax legislation and ensuring systems and processes are updated accordingly
  • Support with advising the business on the implications of key transactions, change initiatives, and expansion decisions of the Group
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the tax function and raising of the profile of tax across the business.
  • Supporting with specific tax-related projects including managing the tax implications on changes to the ERP system and supporting the business from a tax perspective on launches internationally
  • Ownership of the transfer pricing agreement for the business
  • Managing one direct report, overseeing the indirect taxes for the business

Skill set required:

The business is looking for an independent, ambitious, and hands-on Tax Manager who has extensive direct tax experience, gained either through practice or your time in industry. You will ideally have managed before and be comfortable in overseeing the indirect tax. The confidence and gravitas to advise senior stakeholders on tax implications and new tax initiatives is key to the success of this role. Any international tax knowledge as well as experience working in a product-related environment. To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong communication skills, thrive at project management, and enjoy working in a sociable and collaborative environment.
