Trainee Health & Safety Coordinator

Our Client, a well-established Health and Safety Consultancy based in Wolverhampton are looking for a Trainee Health and Safety Coordinator to join their team.

This role will initially be the main support to a highly experienced H&S Consultant and is a genuine opportunity to develop your career within the field of Health and Safety and progress to a Consultant position.

A competitive salary of £26,000- £30,000 with option of study support.

The successful Trainee Health and Safety Coordinator will be required to:-

  • Update Method Statements and Risk Assessments (RAMs).
  • Draft new client H&S policies to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Write and amend COSHH Assessments.
  • Assist with the new client health checker to assess safety compliance.
  • Initiate and assist with SSIP applications including CHAS, SMAS, SafeContractor and Construction Line.
  • Set up remote client portals to give client access to safety documentation.

The ideal Trainee Health and Safety Coordinator will have:-

  • Genuine interest in health and safety.
  • Experience of working within health and safety would be preferred.
  • IOSH Managing Safely.
  • NEBOSH General certificate (or working towards).
  • Good administration skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build a strong rapport.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Logical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Full UK driving licence.
