Excellent opportunity for a Manufacturing Manager to oversee and drive improvement across the machining facilities. This key role involves managing the production process and ensuring the efficient operation of the manufacturing site in Cheltenham.

Description

As the Manufacturing Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Lead, manage and raise the profile of the Machining facility developing Department Business plans and objectives to enable high quality performance, output and engagement to meet the business KPI targets for safety, efficiency, profitable growth, customer service and employee engagement in a timely and effective manner.
  • Identify, plan and implement future efficiency, cost and quality improvement opportunities with significant focus on digital and technological advances.
  • To engage and develop Production Managers, Team Leaders and colleagues. Liaise and work alongside Production Engineering, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Health, Safety and Environment & Human Resources to deliver high quality output in their own area of responsibility and across UK Manufacturing.
  • Develop a culture within the teams to own and improve the health and safety within the machine shop.
  • To utilise existing manufacturing execution system to drive efficiency and quality improvements using data driven techniques.
  • To develop, embed and maintain a continuous improvement culture through leading continuous improvement activities, using 5S and lean manufacturing principles to a high standard.

Profile

A successful Manufacturing Manager should have:

  • Completed a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent qualification and will have experience of working within a manufacturing environments.
  • Strong and effective leadership skills.
  • Ability to create strategic plans
  • Excellent working knowledge and application of Continuous Improvement & Lean tools.
  • Utilised manufacturing software to drive efficiency and quality
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Excellent communication skills
