Sales Manager (salary £40,000 plus commission) is needed to join a well-established quarry operator and natural stone manufacturing company. Our client needs a Sales Manager to join their team near Peterborough. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the growth and development of a successful and growing business and you'll be involved in dealing with prospective clients, providing top quality customer service, converting enquiries into sales and overseeing the showroom.
Although showroom-based at Head Office, you will be spending time out and about, visiting customers, attending networking events etc.
This is a busy and multi-faceted sales role involving responsibilities such as:
- Achieving business growth and hitting sales targets;
- Working closely with other sales colleagues;
- Line managing the Showroom Sales Assistant;
- Representing the Company, attending networking events and exhibitions;
- Going on site visits;
- Taking responsibility for maintaining the Company brand and showroom to the highest standards;
- Reporting on KPIs, targets and performance of the sales team;
- Providing guidance, encouragement and mentoring to Sales colleagues.
You will be involved in working closely with colleagues across the company as well as directly with customers. This is a busy role which demands a proven track record of hitting sales targets and provides the opportunity to be accountable for your own performance in your role.
As the Sales Manager, you will have:
- a proven track record with an ability to hit sales targets, particularly the ability to spot and upsell opportunities as well as respectfully overcoming objections
- strong communication skills both verbal and written as well as numeracy and literacy skills
- attention to detail and organisational skills
- a background in delivering exceptional customer service standards in a sales or service environment
Previous experience in the stone or façade industry would be beneficial but full product training will be given.
