Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Learning: Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons tailored to students with special educational needs.

  • Classroom Management: Help maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment that accommodates the needs of all students.
  • Specialised Support: Implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and support students with various disabilities and learning difficulties.
  • Extracurricular Activities: Participate in and support school events and activities, ensuring inclusivity for all students.

Candidate Profile:

  • Passion for SEN Education: A genuine interest in helping children with special educational needs learn and grow.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Additionally, personal experience supporting family or friends with special needs is highly valued.
  • Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, with additional SEN training or certification, is desirable.
  • Empathy and Patience: Ability to understand and respond to the unique needs of SEN students with compassion and patience.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, parents, and external specialists.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to support various classroom needs and student requirements.
