English Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join our team at a well-regarded educational institution in Maidenhead. The role is temporary, starting in September 2024, and will last for one term. While Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred, candidates with strong subject knowledge and teaching experience may also be considered.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Delivering English lessons to students across Key Stages 3 to 5, ensuring that each student reaches their full potential.
- Preparing lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments in line with curriculum requirements.
- Providing a stimulating learning environment that fosters a passion for English literature and language.
- Monitoring and assessing students' progress and providing feedback to encourage academic growth.
- Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the school's objectives.
- Participating in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A strong grasp of the English curriculum and a passion for teaching the subject.
- QTS is preferred, but other candidates with relevant experience may be considered.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and inspire students.
- Proven ability to plan, organise, and deliver high-quality lessons.
- Commitment to professional development and staying current with educational best practices.
